Relaxation and quality playbook

Relax one dimension at a time so the user can see what changed.

Default relaxation order

1. Title wording within the same function and scope.
2. One adjacent employee or stage band.
3. One adjacent industry or business model.
4. Broader geography compatible with the motion.
5. One seniority level up or down.

Never remove every company-context filter at once. Record the relaxation responsible for each added candidate.

Zero-result title search

Treat zero results as a query diagnosis:

• shorten decorated titles to the core role;
• remove exact-match behavior;
• test two common regional variants;
• verify seniority and industry taxonomy values;
• check whether the company band contradicts the title.

Do not conclude the market is empty from one title string.

Coverage math

Use eligible approved contacts as the enrichment denominator. Report all of these separately:

• requested contacts;
• audience that passed the final search;
• contacts submitted for enrichment;
• verified work emails;
• probable or ambiguous work emails;
• phones found;
• no-match;
• invalid;
• insufficient identity;
• operational errors.

Example: 20 requested, 14 search-qualified, 14 submitted, 10 verified emails. Report 10/14 enrichment coverage and a six-contact audience shortfall; do not report 50% without explaining both denominators.
