Tool Evaluation Rubric — Scoring Weights

On-demand reference for the revops-tech-stack skill.

The four scoring dimensions and their decision weights for evaluating a new tool. The evaluation narrative and the build-vs-buy logic remain in SKILL.md.

When evaluating a new tool, score these dimensions:

CAPABILITY FIT (40% of decision):
Does it solve the specific capability gap we've identified?
How well does it handle our use case vs. the general case?
Does it replace an existing tool or add a new one?

INTEGRATION QUALITY (25% of decision):
Native CRM integration? How deep (one-way sync, bi-directional,
real-time)? API quality? How much custom work to integrate?

TOTAL COST OF OWNERSHIP (20% of decision):
License cost + implementation + integration + training + ongoing
admin + opportunity cost of context switching
Divide by number of users to get per-user total cost

VENDOR VIABILITY (15% of decision):
Funding status, customer count, product roadmap, market position
A great tool from a vendor that won't exist in 2 years is a
  liability, not an asset
